The PSL Stereotactic Floor Stand has been designed to provide three axes of precision head ring motion and to maximize accuracy, repeatability, orthogonality, and stability of the stereotactic head frame in the linac couch gantry system. The floor stand mounts onto the couch bearing structure. This is the stiffest, most stable portion of the couch. With the PSL floor stand, the couch serves as a mechanism to bring the patient into position and provides support in the most comfortable manner since the patient can be adjusted without affecting head ring position.
