Three-Axis Phantom

The three-axis phantom is a device used with the film holder to cross-check the alignment of the collimating slug holder, collimating slug, and floor stand each time the hardware is installed for use with a patient. The phantom is also used to verify whether the correct movement of the lateral, vertical, and anterior/posterior slides have been made as prescribed for a particular patient’s treatment.
