Summer 2010
Meet our New Shop Supervisor

Picture of Rory HollandPSL is happy to introduce our new Shop Supervisor Rory Holland, who replaced newly retired Shop Supervisor Bill Cotter.

Rory came with a variety of experience from Herman Miller Company, where he was the plant engineer.  There he was involved with everything from product testing and design, process improvements, quotes and estimates, to facility layout and customer contacts. His education is perfectly suited for PSL with a Master’s of Science in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville along with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Technology Management.

I asked him, “What made you decide to apply for this job?”  He responded,”It was a great opportunity to expand my skills, next progressive step in my career, constant learning, secure atmosphere, where I can focus on growing within the company and position.”

With so many years of knowledge to be passed on, Bill and Rory worked side by side for several weeks to help Rory transition into his new role. When asked about the changeover, he answered “(It) went great.  Bill was a tremendous help, which speaks volumes for his character.  He was very open and informative with every topic we discussed.”

What was the most important thing that you learned from Bill? “Customer interaction and handling the day to day operations in the machine shop.”

PSL is happy to welcome Rory to our team.
